About this guide and its review
Prepare a device for disconnection
Before relying on it
Use a trusted device and the same browser profile/app. Installation alone is not preparation, and browser storage is not a verified backup.
- Sign in while connected and check the clinic/account.
- Open the account menu → This device and synchronization.
- Choose Protect this device and follow the device-verification prompt. Older phrase-protected copies still need their original phrase.
- Wait for the application download to be ready, then prepare recent data.
- Open each expected patient and use Prepare this patient from the device page.
- Briefly disconnect, reload, unlock and check the records you need.
Preparation is limited; it is not a download of every patient, file and history page. Review failures and the displayed prepared data.
Prepare while connected. Supported work may be saved securely on the device, then needs reconnection and explicit review of server confirmation.
What works without connection?
| Supported when prepared and authorized | Needs the server |
|---|---|
| Read prepared records; register/edit a patient; edit prepared medical history | Confirm arrival/start from an appointment or complete a visit |
| Supported dental findings, procedures and tooth/jaw notes; a permitted unscheduled local visit with a prepared chair and reason | Clinical corrections and treatment-plan completion |
| Supported material definitions, receipts, use and quantity adjustments with known stock/batches | Invoices, payments, posted purchases/expenses, messages and file transfers |
Missing local results do not prove a record does not exist. Do not recreate a patient because the local search is incomplete. Check the device clock before recording dated care.
Reconnect
Choose Synchronize now, sign in if asked, and review each pending item. An unlocked open page can also retry synchronization automatically. Confirmed by server is the state to verify before treating the work as accepted centrally.
For a conflict, compare the saved request and latest server record. Dependent work pauses rather than overwriting a newer version. Do not discard or re-enter an uncertain sent request as though it never existed; review it first. The offered archive for reviewed rejected work preserves the original and does not change server records.
If the device cannot open or save
Keep the editor and pending work. Check free storage and connection; use the original account and clinic. Do not clear site data, remove the profile or reset the copy as a routine fix. Sign-out/account changes lock the copy; permission revalidation may require connection.
A device-key-only copy has no phrase recovery. A lost key, forgotten legacy phrase or deleted site data can prevent recovery of unconfirmed work. Keep the recovery phrase for a copy upgraded from phrase protection. Ask for help before destructive changes.
